A race with no set route - you have to find your way around the course as fast as you can, using a special orienteering map of the picturesque National Trust's Bradenham Estate to find a series of checkpoints. Each checkpoint might be on paths, or hidden behind vegetation, on buildings or by streams. Each one consists of a marker flag and timing unit, for you to register your electronic timing chip against (which we will lend to you). Be as competitive as you want - run, jog or just walk, there will be several courses, from 1k to 5k, for runners, with the shorter ones for families and juniors, although you can enter any course you wish.

Just turn up and enter on the day, any time between 10:00 and 11:30. Courses close at 13:00 and normally take 30 to 75 mins to complete. Entry fees are just £6 for adults and groups and £2 for solo juniors. Your entry fee includes a special waterproof map to keep as a souvenir, hire of an electronic timing chip and a print out of your result and splits at the finish. Organised by Thames Valley Orienteering Club.

The event is aimed at newcomers and anyone who wants to give this great outdoor sport a go - lots of help will be available.

Parking is in a firm flat field off the A4010 between Princes Risborough and High Wycombe, HP14 4HF.
